Kift’s Tips
-
Shake or stir the coconut milk well before using it.
-
Use full-fat coconut milk for the richest and creamiest flavour.
-
Make the coffee slightly stronger because the milk, ice, and ice cream will soften its taste.
-
Adjust the chocolate syrup and sweetener according to your preference.
-
Use coconut ice cream for a stronger tropical coconut flavour.
-
One shot of espresso can be used instead of instant coffee.
-
Chill the serving glass before preparing the drink.
-
Toast the coconut flakes lightly to create a deeper flavour and attractive garnish.
-
Add a small pinch of salt to enhance both the chocolate and coconut flavours.
-
For a dairy-free version, replace the fresh milk with oat, almond, or additional coconut milk and use dairy-free ice cream.
Storage Instructions
Creamy Coconut Mocha is best enjoyed immediately after preparation.
The coconut mocha mixture can be prepared without ice or ice cream and stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Shake or stir the mixture well before serving, as the coconut milk may naturally separate.
Do not store the completed drink with ice or ice cream because it will melt and become diluted.
